I have had this for years. 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 7 3/4" and approx 6 lbs. Stamped CANCO in an oval on the bottom. Any ideas as to what it would be used for? Lee Enfield, Bren Gun, RCAF Browning. Please advise. Thanks. Mike.

Re: .303 AMMUNITION CAN
Why don't you open it up and see? :) Just kidding, not something I have ever seen before either mate, although it does seem odd to go to all the trouble of sealing only 32 cartridges into a can.

Re: .303 AMMUNITION CAN
I have seen this can, it is fairly heavy. There is no way there is only 32 cartridges in it. I think it could read 132??

Re: .303 AMMUNITION CAN
Probably because that is how many rounds fits in this can, then this can fits in a ammo box, then that box fits in a ammo crate.

The exterior container for tropical packaging is a metal box H-50-C in which is contained two internal plywood boxes H51 Mk I.
