Regiment Chaudiere shoulder title

I try to identify if this Régiment de la Chaudière shoulder title is ww2 (more 1945) or post ww2 and would like your opinion? It seems to be canadian made, embroidered on melton with black backing material.

Does black backing material always means post war on embroidered melton title? Maybe it is more the fact that the letter are no thick?
