There have been some very interesting WW II vehicles for sale or auctioned off this summer. The above 1944 MK II Bren Carrier is currently for sale in Canada.
Ditto Dale, Not so much the affordability, but the vain attempts of trying to explaining to my daughter that I bought a carrier and not enough left over for her to have her own car. LMAO.
I thought about looking into an M113A3 or a retired MTLV but same concerns apply.
This Sexton SPG is currently for sale in England [the 25 Pdr. is functional] and a fully restored Sexton SPG was auctioned off in July. Many forget that Sextons were only produced in Canada and first saw combat in Italy.
This STUG III was captured by Canadians (possibly in the Caen area) and displayed at CFB Shilo for decades until transferred to CFB Calgary. It then disappeared and re-appeared in a US collection. In July 2010 she was shipped to a private collection in the UK where she will be fully restored. The photograph was taken at the port of Galveston (Texas).
*Note: There were originally two STUG IIIs at CFB Shilo and now both are long gone.
